Nissan moving into the solar market

Options
Hey all,

I have been active on this board for a few days and thought you would like this news about Nissan. I've been looking at their batterys for a bit bit interested in what they can do with the solar.

But, how much does it cost compared to other products available?

I've gone for a Tesla Powerwall 2 and Zappi EV charger to go along with the panels we've got that also has an immersion water heater diverter.

This has been around for a while it's a route to reuse the car batteries that have to much degradation for auto use.

DIY powerwall people are cutting out the middle man and buying crashed cars for the packs.

    I on the lookout myself
  • I think it was 5k for the panels and the battery but the solar system was tiny. Like a 1.4 kWh size. So it would only be good if you could get more panels.

Ard123en that sounds interesting how are people hooking the batterys from the car up?

    Regards,

Have a look over at DIYpowerwall.com
I've gone more traditional using old 18650 batteries from laptops
