Hi I have switched energy supplier on the cheap energy club site, should they do the switch for me? I've been charged by both companies this month?

Hi. The MSE Cheap Energy Club is nothing more than a referral site. The gaining supplier manages the switch and it asks you for meter readings which are used to close and open your accounts. The losing supplier has 6 weeks from the date of the actual transfer to issue a Final Bill. Sadly, it is often the case that when you switch you will end up paying both suppliers. Rest assured, all overpayments will be refunded when your Final Bill is raised. The important thing to check is that the meter readings on the new and old accounts are the same. Note these readings may not be ones that you provided.

OK great thanks, just checked my bank and it made me overdrawn which is a pain as I wasn't expecting it.

Some smaller suppliers now ask for the first monthly payment ahead of the start of supply. This is usually covered in the Welcome Letter and the contract terms and conditions. It does catch a few people out. I hope that you have a sympathetic Bank.
