Where can I buy a customisable shelving system?

Does anyone know where I can buy the basic shelving systems which were made up of two vertical metal rods and shelves which you'd connect to the rods and so customise the shelves you needed?


The only place I can find something like this is Ikea, (too far away and too heavy for me to carry back home across 3 modes of transport) I don't know what it's called so can't seem to find it in B&Q or Wicks. This is a link to the Ikea model in case anyone is confused by my description.

Try searching for twinslot shelving system - B&Q have it and it is available online various other places.

don't buy the ikea one, I've made that mistake before! twinslot shelving is availible in lots of places, I ended up buying mine from twinslot shelving .co .uk (no affiliation to them) but they had all the options for shelf brackets/colours/bookends etc that I needed

Not at £35 a go no, wish I could but the delivery fee is just not justifiable let alone affordable.

All the DIY sheds, B&Q, Wickes etc do them, easy to find, all different sizes and cheap as chips.

It does work out quite expensive when you add up the rods and the brackets

Hi, you can also get it in Wilco and Homebase. I’m trying to add shelves to my existing system but the brackets available don’t fit. I’ve tried Homebase, Wilco and EBay and the tabs are the wrong spacing. Does anyone know where I can get the correct brackets? Thank you.

If it's the original Spur system I think they changed from Imperial to Metric at some point.
