Economy 10 electric supliers

Hi there< I am finding it very hard to find suppliers who deal with economy 10 in order to switch from my current one to save money to the lowest price one ...They do not seem to advertise this tariff, which makes it difficult to find them. Any help would be good for finding suppliers who do. I'm currently with SSE.
Are other users finding it hard or is it just me!

Don't waste your time, its a legacy tariff no one wants to supply, those who do [incl SSE] are forced to by GOV. Prices are ± identical. Your choice my friend.

Several suppliers will support E10 but you need to check them individually as the tariff is not available on comparison sites. Some 100% support it and others are happy to use their E7 tariff. https://economy10.com/list-of-suppliers/
  • Hi selbie28

We had it EON originally and then switched to SSE without any problem - SSE are the only ones that offer prices for all their different tariffs for Economy 10. At the time of the switch EDF were the only others available and they were the cheapest then - that is going back a but though.

We used SSE as they were the only ones that would switch the meter for free as well.

We are currently on economy 10 with SWALEC, we have an electric boiler. All,our fuel is electric.
I wonder if we are bestter off leaving economy 10? We have to wait until 8.30 each evening to switch our heating on. So it doesn't work great for us.

Simply put your annual kWh usage into one of the comparison sites and see how much it will cost you per year on a single rate tariff and compare that to what that usage currently costs not forgetting that you may actually end up using more by putting the heating on earlier. There may be some added cost of an electrician having to do some rewiring from the meter.

Going off the list on that link, I'm on Bristol Energy (not Economy 10) and am incredibly happy with them and especially with their customer service. They have some of the best customer service I've ever experienced so it'd be worth contacting them to see what they can sort out.
