PIP Rejection

I had the dreaded brown envelope through my door this morning and surprise surprise I've been told they can't award me PIP at this time. I looked through and they've scored me 0 on everything.
I would say I can't believe it but I can. I'm not surprised in the least, but I am upset and angry. I have aspergers syndrome and clinical depression and they've completely ignored everything I told them. What do I do?

How does your Asperger's and CD manifest in terms of care needs and mobility needs?
That is what PIP is interested in.0 -
There is a process you have to go through which starts with a Mandatory Reconsideration. You have one month to do this.
Get some help from one of the disability services in Nottingham. This takes off the stress of trying to do it yourself.
Whilst waiting for your appointment gather together all your paperwork and put it in date order. Don't forget to take your medical evidence.
Have a look at the PIP descriptors and go through them carefully. There is a useful link on the CAB website. I will post it for you.

PIP isn't award based on a diagnosis, it's how those conditions affect you daily.I had the dreaded brown envelope through my door this morning and surprise surprise I've been told they can't award me PIP at this time. I looked through and they've scored me 0 on everything.

You now need to ask for a Mandatory Reconsideration (MR) and you have 1 month to do this. You'll need to put your request in writing stating what you disagree with. What points you think you should have scored and why.
Did you send in evidence to support your claim? They mostly don't ask anyone for evidence, the onus is on you to make sure it's sent with the claim form. I'd advice sending evidence to support your claim.
Only 20% of MR's are successful, so be prepared to take it to Tribunal. 65% of those who appear at their Tribunal have a decision in their favour. Good luck.0
