My old Kobo is playing up so looking for replacement. They seem out of stock at Smiths so what else is out there?
Good battery life and illuminated screen, plus can I easily transfer my books to it from old Kobo and Kobo library?
Thanks in advance.
My old one is now about 10 years old, one of the original non-illuminated ones. Still works but now has big black lines down each side and battery life not good.

If you're happy with the 6" screen of your current Kobo (I presume its a Kobo Glo?), then hans 2's link to the old model Kobo Aura is worth considering at the clearance price. The newer version of it, the Kobo Aura Edition 2 isn't that much of an upgrade, certainly not worth twice the price at £99. The Kobo Glo HD was the best offering they had around this price, sadly its discontinued though.

An actual upgrade would require going for one of the newer models with bigger screens, depending on how much cash you want to spend, other than the Aura linked to above, there's the Kobo Aura H2O with its 6.8" screen at £149.

Check out Argos for the current models of Kobo that are available (ignore the Kindle's on this page as they can't be used for your epub books you already have):

You could always buy an Android tablet and download all the ebook apps you want.
I think this job really needs
    a much bigger hammer.

You could do but a tablet isn't the same reading experience as an e reader. I appreciate some people might disagree but personally I don't like reading on a tablet the display technology does not lend itself to natural reading

Thanks for comments, the Kobos are still out of stock! Will have a look at second hand ones.
