Crashed into someone, now insurer blaming them?

Hi MSE'ers
Without going into too much detail, I bumped into the back of someone last year, which caused both cars to be written off (not much damage, just old worthless cars both). Insurance at the time saw it as my fault, I payed out my excess and my premiums went up at renewal, lost no claims etc.
Now that the third party is claming injury, my insurance company appointed an investigator who took my statement, and are now blaming the third party 100%.
Does anyone have experience of this? I'm worried i'll end up being dragged to court to give evidence if it starts a fight between insurance companies, and worried as well that it may push my premiums up if they rack up court costs etc. At the same time, considering I was the driver who hit them, my insurer must have a pretty strong case to bring if they think its crash for cash or similar?

that wont happen, you've already paid that penalty, it wont go up again0 -
I suspect your insurers are not disputing the vehicle contact aspect was your fault, they are most likely alleging to the other party it was a low velocity impact which was unlikely to have caused injury0
