Re: The Damp and Mould, bit late now if you're moving but did you raise this with your LL?
Chances are, its caused by condensation which could be prevented with the use a dehumidifier or opening windows more frequently. Or more permanent solutions would be to put extractor fans in the kitchen and/or bathroom if not already installed, or a tumble dryer to prevent the need to put clothes out to dry inside the house.
However, it may be not be condensation, and could be a bigger problem related to the building fabric (such as rising damp) which would need addressing ASAP.
If I was the landlord, I'd want this to be brought to my attention as soon as possible.0 -

We've told him multiple times. Just before we moved in the outside of the property was painted with a black coating/membrane on the outside wall. Around a year and a half our TV blew in our bedroom, my husband went to check and the wall was actually wet to touch, it just crumbled on touch. This was an internal wall. He had it dried out, replastered and redecorated and paid for replacement units as they were covered in mould. We also had to have him replace our daugters chest of drawers as they were so bad, again on an internal wall. Windows are open throughout the day. Well ventilated and well heated. We also havw a dehumidifier, he even contributed to our electric bill when we've had to have it on. He is fully aware of the issues!0 -
