Credit Card Purchase Advice

I've been making small purchases on credit card and paying back in full each month in order to build credit.
I've just put a holiday on my credit card which takes up £800 of my £1200 limit - will my credit score plummet dramatically because of this? I've just got onto good ground score wise and hope to move in a couple of months so will be credit checked for a new rental property. I could pay it all at once but would like to have the cash on side for another purchase and pay back in installments but am worried about damaging my score too much and affecting my move.

Ignore the score it is meaningless. Nobody can see it except you. No lender uses the score the credit reference agencies generate.

What matters is the contents of your file, not the makey uppey number.

Letting agents are interested in any arrears and missed payments you have, not whether you've used 2/3 of the one credit card you have.

    Forget the score.

Is the card 0% - if not why pay interest if you have the cash available?
