Buy changed solicitor last minute?

Hi everyone. Our buyer changed mortgage provider due to buying as a business instead of personal. He then had to change solicitor to one on the providers panel. What is the delay this would cause? The searches are already complete and been passed over to the new solicitor. Would it be weeks or could this happen quick? He is buying to let and no other chain. We are buying a new build and our side is complete now and new contracts issued to new solicitor.

Our buyer did exactly the same. Added 2 weeks in our case, so not long0

Depends if the new solicitor (andd importantly the new mortgage lender) accept the work and searches done by the first solicitor, or insist on re-doing it.0
