Advice on firewire card please

How do I find out if my partners computer can have firewire card installed in it.

He wants to get a firewire mixing desk but only has USB2, he asked at the music shop but they just tried to talk him into buying a USB one which he doesn't want due to a small delay.

Can anyone advise how we could find out if the computer can have one installed and how to go about doing it or getting it done.

Thanks

If he has a spare PCI slot then yes he can.

What is the make and model of the PC?

As for fitting it, 15min job at the most.
  • Hi there,

Thanks for that, its a iDEQ C1.

He has 1 PCI slot which says it is designated as 32 bits, i'm sure that makes sense to you.

How would he go about fitting one.
