Asda George return with reciept---but no barcode

Jacket its never been worn have the reciept, 2 tags still on the jacket but the barcode tag must have come off in the bag when bought and i must have thrown it away with the bag.
Customer services say it "should" be ok to get a refund but take it back and show store customer services counter staff.
Anyone returned a clothing item without the barcode tag?

Bought in store with credit card.

You throw bags away? That is not very money saving.

It will depend on the "chav" level of the store you intend to take it back to. If they get a lot of people trying it on you might get issues. If they don't it's likely fine. No way to tell untill you try.

Bag ripped.

Just been told that there is a barcode number on a label in the jacket, i have checked the number and its the same as the number on the reciept which identifies the jacket sale. So i will take it back.
