Corset Deal Terms

Hi
I recently returned a corset to Corset Deal who sent me a sticker for paying the return postage after they looked at photos of the faulty corset, however only the corset has been refunded and not the original postage cost (£5)I had originally purchased the item online and contacted them within a couple of weeks of it being delivered.
Their T&C's quote the following:
Normal Returns "Return within 45 Days from date of purchase. No questions asked! No restocking fees! 100% refund of order amount including initial shipping cost as store credit only"
"Damaged Goods - Missing Products from Orders: Email us at help@corsetdeal.co.uk or chat with us from Chat widget on the website Monday-Friday from 10am-7pm (GMT TIME), within 7 days from the delivery date with the missing or damaged product details, quote your order number or the email on the order, and we’ll work hard to quickly correct the mistake" and then "Refund as Store credit will be credited within 48 business hours as soon as the returned item is restocked.
IF YOU WISH A REFUND TO ORIGINAL PAYMENT METHOD: Original Shipping cost is not refundable. In case of Free shipping, equivalent Standard Shipping or shipping applicable on the order will be deducted from the refund amount. Any dispute will not be entertained"
I was under the impression under the Consumer Rights Act I had longer to return faulty goods than the 7 days they quote (they were returned within a couple of weeks of the item arriving) and that original postage was to be refunded as you shouldn't be out of pocket for faulty goods? I didn't want store credit as the quality of their corsets was shockingly bad so am not planning on buying anything else online from them again.
Can anyone help with any advise?
Thanks

You were not returning a damaged item . You were returning a faulty item. They are referring to goods damaged in transit or missing.
The 45 day return policy clarifies
Return within 45 Days from date of purchase. No questions asked! No restocking fees! 100% refund of order amount including initial shipping cost as store credit only.
The only condition is, Item must be in new, unaltered, undamaged and unused condition. We expect the item to reach us as it left our warehouse. Send in original packaging, with tags if possible. Do not worry if you lost the packaging or tags, we will be happy to honour the return.
Your return did not come under that.
As it was a faulty product and you say they have refunded you for the corset but not he postage.
Contact them again and ask for the original postage back as well.0 -

Thats not how I read it at all. I read it that they'll refund in full in store credit but if you want a refund to the original method of payment, they'll deduct the outbound shipping cost.
Having a look at their returns policy, they don't seem to follow the law at all - not the CRA nor the CCRs. Their returns policy is (imo) highly likely to mislead the average consumer.
OP contact them and ask for it to be refunded to the original payment method. If they aren't forthcoming, send them a letter before action quoting the consumer rights act. Even if they are forthcoming, personally I'd pass my complaint on to trading standards.
I can't find their t&c's but their FAQ and various information pages seem to make it clear that they don't adhere to UK law at all, not even a little bit.You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride0 -
Unholyangel that's exactly it. First they offered store credit which I refused so they have refunded the corset amount but not the original postage. I've read their T&Cs the same way you did and don't find, in my opinion, that they follow UK law but I'm no expert.
Thanks, I'll go back to them again and see what they say0
