Whenever I power-up the computer, before the 'Windows' screen comes up, I get a very scenic picture displayed.
The first one, was a wooded mountain stream scene, with water cascading over rocks.
The next, was something like the Lake District - with a lake in front and below, with a wooded hilly area either side.
Third, came something out of Nevada or Arizona - with a barren dry landscape, with worn escarpments..
Currently, a cold uninviting windswept artic scene.
I wonder how many more they will be? And why can't they stay instead of the 'windows' screen!??

That is the Spotlight feature. It is supposed to change the picture every so often. I haven't seen duplicates yet. If you want a picture that doesn't change go into the settings and tell Windows you want a specific picture displayed and which one on your computer you want it to be.0

They have hundreds of them from every country in the world. A few I really like wish I could just click and keep. But no two days later or soon a new one pops up.0

Useful information.
You used to be able to have similar pictures to use as a screensaver. At present, you only seem to have the choice of Bubbles or choose photos from your folders of pictures.
I know screensavers are no longer necessary, but can this type of picture still be used for that purpose.0
