    Really depends on the area - just sold my Mum's house at offers over 230k - eventually sold for 256k.

    .. tsk tsk dan, you could have been bidding so much lower eh?

    Why waste precious time? We bid on around 6 different houses in a year, all bids were over the home report price and we lost out on them all :)

    Well, a large proportion of the Scottish housing stock probably is what you'd consider "undesirable"! There are many different markets and while you may have been hunting in the hotspots, there are other properties languishing on estate agents' listings for months on end. We don't know what the OP is trying to sell.
