    Thank you.

I'll be watching threads here to find out if redirection ever goes wrong, and if the switching guarantee applies indefinitely

So what about direct debits? Would you also tell your electricity supplier, internet, water, etc.?

If so, what is the point of the switching service?

All the outgoing payments should go out automatically as the previous bank provides a list that is supplied to your new bank.
It's the incoming payments that are treated differently- and it's worth contacting those companies/firms/individuals to advise of the new account details.

Perhaps it's not the norm, but I can't recall ever having had a payslip that didn't contain the details of the account it was being paid into.

Mine doesn't...but then i get paid via Bacs and Payslip states cheque..:D
