Please let me know if I've made a mistake!

Everyone Welcome Anytime of the Month!
What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.

Sorry to hear about your little dog's problems, Arkers. I hope the surgery and recovery go smoothly. (((Hugs)))
I am definitely looking forward to this being an AF weekend and, just speaking for myself, this has been the biggest change - something has shifted and now I enjoy and look forward to the thought of an AF weekend.

I wish I'd been able to be that self-disciplined when I drank! This weekend it was a friend's 60th birthday, and that was the kind of all day event I grew to dread. This time, it was a huge relief that I wasn't going to start glugging sparkling wine at 10.30 am and be expected to keep going all day until we finally got home at 9.00 pm, having baled out early. How do people do it?!

Welcome and good luck, Leftpeg. It really, really helps if you post every day.

Well I had wine yesterday ,, and went straight back to greedy old me , 2 bottles later ,,,,(

Well done for stopping after two bottles! The thing about booze, and cutting down and giving up, is that if we stop drinking for any length of time, when we go back to it our bodies don't reset to Day One, Year One. We got back in at exactly the same level as we were when we stopped. It's so unfair, because no matter how many days, weeks, months or years we're on the wagon, all of that good behaviour is set aside by the first sip. However, the thing is, although it felt like fun at the time, if you can take away from this experience that the lasting legacy of it is that you feel cr*p the day afterwards (and in my experience, actually, a couple of days after that if I'm honest), that might help you to resist a teensy bit more next time, and that'll be enough.

The other thing to remember is that when we're stopping old harmful habitual behaviour, we pretty much all go back to it once. It's a strange thing, but we all do, and having done so, we then don't need to do so again.

You'll be fine; you know you can do this and you will.

I hope the move went smoothly and you're enjoying your new surroundings, Green Karen.

Huge congratulations on 58 days, Shaggy. Brilliant!

    4/31 please.
    Better is good enough.

    Hello
I went to visit family at the weekend and drank on Friday and yesterday, but didn't on Sunday. Not sure whether I will tonight or not, so I'll say I'm on 1/20 for now and update later.

I'll aim for 5SNC please so to date 3/20 and 2SNC please.

Awful day at work today but glad to say not tempted! Just realised I went to the supermarket on the way home too and didn't even think of buying wine - normally I would have been thinking about it at least. Pleased with that.
