  • CuppaTea well done on getting past the wobble!

The BBC article was shocking. I do worry about my female friends who drink heavily, it does seem much harder for women to manage without damaging our health. Though I'm pleased to see one close friend has been bringing more soft drinks for impromptu get together as - she knows I'm not drinking so it's easier for her to abstain as well. Little changes etc.

Tried the white muscrat non alcoholic wine from Asda £2.50 per bottle and really nice. It's a 0.0% wine as well. x

Another good find, NicNak - well done.

Are you still OK to update the annual totals Cathybird?

If so, I am on 140/150 to the end of October.

Many thanks to yourself and Shaggy for looking after the 'scores on the doors' for us :T:T:T

    ^^^ Wot she said.

Another article about drinking on the BBC this morning: Alcoholic at 25

I'm in a rush this morning, but I'll have a look later so thanks for posting the link.

    1/30 please, Shaggy.

11/14 please for October - better than nothing but no gold star (or cat on a moon really, a shame as I love that smiley).
On holiday all week so pleased with no wine last night especially as I was being cooked for and wanted to go and buy wine to enjoy with the meal. Out with friends tonight and other things organised for rest of the week so won't be AF but intend to start again on Monday. Can I have 4 AF SNC please? November seems a good month to have AF days before the C word begins.
  • Morning everyone.

31/31 for me for October :j:j:j

About the only thing that's going well at the moment and, strangely, that's making me even more determined to stick to it, I want at least one thing to look at and say "that's good". In the (very recent) past I would have used a drink to "cope" with the stress.

    Morning!

Planned night out tonight is going to be a carvery by the looks of things, which is kind of a good thing as the place we're going to isn't near the house so one of us will need to drive (me!). Might end up AF tonight after all. That's not to say we won't go for a pint afterwards though, but I really don't feel like drinking.

I don't think I'm going to do too well at SW this week as it is, just not been committed this week - lack of exercise and didn't eat well at the weekend - so don't want to make things worse.

So calling in a hesitant 1/26 for tonight and a probable 5/4 SNC's!!
You can have results or excuses, but not both.
Challenge - be 14 Stone BY XMAS!

  • Hi,
