Thanks for all the updates Shaggy. I've just looked back at the end of August scores, added in September and my annual score so far is 123. That's creeping towards an average of 14 per month. I'm pleased, but always room for improvement.:)


Lots of publicity for ParkRun at the moment as it's the 14th 'birthday'. Do you think Piglet might be up for that MissP? Who was it that used to do that regularly? Was it satchmo?

Oh yeah, annual score up to 30/9/18 is 223/300 - thanks for reminding me maman!!

3 months and 77 AFDs to go!! Should hit 30 this month and easily 28 in Nov but December is where I'll struggle.

Something I do work-wise is 100% connected the Christmas so it's a 12 month constant presence in my life. Other than that, the older I get the less I want to make of it. Does that sound curmudgeonly? This thread goes very, very quiet for three days (it's pretty quiet for the whole of December tbh) and then everone crawls back groaning before doing Dry January. (By Boxing Day I usually have three posts in a row!)

Maman - I love the idea of parkrun. Unfortunately Piglet has a medical issue with his ankles due to the speed he's growing (upwards, not outwards :rotfl:) and he goes through times when he just isn't allowed to do high impact exercise as it could damage his muscles and tendons. He didn't do PE at all year last year and is just easing back into it now at school. He abhors physical exercise anyway, so its a real trial finding things to do to get him active He's trying really hard lately though so am hopeful some extra exercise will start to become second nature to him.
