Morning all, 9/21 for me today. It occurred to me this morning that I can't recall the last time I had two days in a row where I drank! I do feel a little woozy this morning from last night's meal out with friends but nothing terrible.

    Hi,

Can I join this group again please? I know that I really need to cut down a lot and am trying to go completely AF for a while so that I can get things back into perspective.

I!!!8217;m aiming for 20 days this month as I was on holiday at the beginning of the month.

So far I have managed 4 AF days in May

I felt that way for a couple of years about some nights out; not wanting to go out with certain friends because I always over-indulged. Not sure I realised I had a booze problem (not saying you do, obviously) but with hindsight I must have, because if I'd had half a brain cell I'd have known I didn't actually have to drink alcohol. Hey ho.

Well I quite look forward to a night out with a drink, not saying I don't, but these days I also look forward to the nights where I don't drink, and back in the day it would never have occurred to me that a night without alcohol could be just as if not more enjoyable than a night with! So it's a good sign to me that now I've twigged this :rotfl:

Made it through the function, despite some peoples best efforts. It was hard when everyone else was drinking and I felt quite awkward as I didn't know people that well... But I did it! And am proud to say 13/31 and today marks 21 days since I stopped drinking - baby steps :)
