QUIDCO is it safe re computer

Hi, please advise. Taking control of finances and getting hooked. Interested in Quidco and when i started the process of registering etc i got concerned with having to make changes to my computer settings and am fearful my securtiy will be compromised. Can anyone please talk me through or point me in the right direction so i understand and all's safe. My kids use the computer and i'm currently getting loads of filth through since they registered on MSN and i can't stop it even though settings etc supposed to . Not good with computers but learning. Sorry it's long winded, i use too many words when a few would suffice. Thanks in advance.

You don't have to change your settings - it is just advice to maximise the chances of your transactions being tracked. If you don't count on getting the cashback and consider it a nice little bonus if it does come through then leave your security settings at a level you are happy with.

The sort of software that might interfere with Quidco tracking is anything that might block data - pop-up blockers, parental controls; any kind of filtering program designed to protect you from viruses or restrict access to websites, and so on.

Unless you (or the person who owns the computer if not you) have installed software of this nature, the chances are that you'll be able to use Quico without changing any settings.

Whilst disabling this software (if you have it) might be "risky", Quidco itself is as safe one could hope for - I've had about £150 in cashback in the last few years and no problems yet!

You can use a different browser just for Quidco and have lower security setting sin that. For example I use Firefox as my primary broswer and just use IE fro Quidco. Obivously if yoiu have lots of parental control software and pop up blockers this won't help.
It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die
