If they overlooked depression you likely wouldn't be awarded, This is nonsense to say that. If you read the report and count the points for mental health as to physical health. I feel mental health is taken seriously.
I would say one is jumping the gun a little bit. 1.6 million claims to review, It's hardly going to be this year or anytime soon, Which will likely affect the entire DWP and decision makers for other claimants.
Why do you need more for depression, What about more money do for your depression?0 -

Hi cozza, do you mean you do not receive the PIP Mobility element but you feel you should? If so, if your award was made since the change to exclude psychological distress in March 2017, then your award will be reviewed.0

One of two things is going to happen as a result of the decision. Either claims for all other benefits will be delayed due to staff being transferred from those benefits to review PIP, or the review of PIP claims will take years because of a lack of staff with the necessary skills to undertake the review process.
The only near certainty is that extra staff will not be recruited to enable the work to be undertaken quickly.0 -

Well, Considering I get PIP at standard rate for mental health including, depression, social and health anxiety and stress. I was awarded for 5 year on a paper based decision, So yea I know what mental health is about!
Just don't jump the gun. It will only cause you to build up an anxiety and depression to thinking you're going to get something then it turns out it won't.0
