Northern parking services

Hi all.
I'm desperate for help. I parked in a disabled bay at our local cinemas. I do have a blue badge but genuinely forgot to display it. I had recently got back from my 90 yr old aunts funeral and was very upset and my grandson took me to the cinemas. I have been to that cinema loads of times and had never forgot to display my badge. Anyway. Cutting a long story short. I came out to a fine. I contacted Northern Parking Services as soon as I got in and provided proof that I have a badge and explained the circumstances of forgetting to display it. They told me I still had to pay it. I went to CAB who told me to contact POPLA. I thought I'd sent proof that signage wasn't clearly visible and tried to attach a video clip to prove this, but it didn't send and was in a out folder that I didn't even know about and my appeal was unsuccessful.
Im on benefits and asked if I could pay in instalments as I can't afford to pull £100 straight out. But they said no and that if I don't pay it they will take me to court and send bailiffs if necessary. Is this true. Im absolutely petrified. As a single parent I struggled to provide for my daughter and got into debt. It took me years to get out of debt and now I'm living on my nerves every time the door goes.
I have since been told that I should just ignore the threats. Does anyone know if this is correct. Please be honest as I don't think I could cope if this went wrong. I don't have anyone I can borrow the money off so if I do need to pay it. I will have to pawn my mothers jewellery and I know I won't be able to adored to get it back out.

Thanks in advance for any advice

yes you can ignore the threats

if they were to take you to court, and if you lost in court , you must pay the judgment within one month (preferably ASAP) and no bailiffs will call round

its ignoring a CCJ (ignoring the court) that can lead to enforcement by bailiffs

so if you lose in court , pay up (typically about £175 or less ), if you win in court , claim up to £95 in costs

NPS have 6 years to try a court claim

their threats and any debt collector letters are of no consequence

its if they were to take court action that you need help

get your MP involved, plus complain to the landowner or cinema and get it cancelled asap

    No, you didn't.
I'm living on my nerves every time the door goes.
Why? Relax. Parking firms can't send bailiffs round! They would have to beat you at a hearing in court first, or send you court papers that you ignore (and you would not, we'd help you defend).
I have since been told that I should just ignore the threats.
Yes (unless you get a court claim) except you should - urgently, now - contact the Cinema Manager and pour your heart out. They can cancel this and it is causing you serious distress.
I will have to pawn my mothers jewellery and I know I won't be able to afford to get it back out.
Stop, you are making us cry now!

Also get your MP involved to lean on the Cinema Manager. You are disabled and had a legal RIGHT to use that bay, regardless of 'Blue Badge' (Council only scheme the private firms abuse, to give them an excuse to issue more demands).

    Hope that's clear.

No, you do not have to pay this, stop phoning the wrong people. CINEMA MANAGER!! And your MP.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
