Hi all :j
Always : Shocking cc bill this month - paid off in full but definitely need to cut this drastically!! Will be setting up saving pot, WIP
First : Agree
Organise : Fail on this one last month but have hopefully got DH on board. Will aim to draw out cash weekly & only spend that, when it's gone - it's gone. Will do budget tomorrow.
Reserve : Already make a charity donation each month from joint acc. Will also set up a DD for an animal one.
Environment : Will do.
Stock take : desperately in need of this one. DD will be away for a goodly part of the month so that will assist in not buying.
Takeaways are forbidden (unless as part of family entertainment night/ birthday choice). Coffee shops, vending machines, works canteens etc are also banned (pastoral exceptions): Had a planned meal out last night in aid of DH birthday - was last year but theatre tickets bought for last night's event.
Always take your lunch to work and snacks and drinks for outings or appointments: Will do
Do something different. If nothing changes, nothing changes. We want to see small positive changes which become habits and then just part of who you are. Pick 2 or 3 things you want to change. Start with one small change and after five successful days, add another: Will give this one some thought.
Valentine Who? :Will send only a card, do not buy into commercial tat & exorbitantly priced meals out..will consider other folks too..
Exercise 5 times a week please: Could well be gardening or clearing, cleaning etc but will aim to be active.
NSDs are staying at 18 this month: 0/18 so far..
Throw it away: Big push on this, much clearing needs to be done but refuse to toss useful stuff, will freecycle or CS - but preferably sell!
Use what you have. Fix something : Lots of maintenance needs doing on this big old place, have the materials )paint etc) so will get on with this outside when weather permits. have also paint to do some inside as well, so no outlay necessary.
Refuel properly: Will do this, already am taking some steps to improve health & sleep patterns. Have all ingredients for this.
Elephants and Frogs: Have deffo some frogs & will tackle one tomorrow. The elephant is the clutter & clearing out, and def will need to be done one bite at a time!!

Good Morning Turtles-

budgets- 1000 emergency fund & 150 spends.:eek: 50£ per week- I have to come in on budget as going forward thats what I have to live on most weeks now.
I didn't run last night but did some excersize I will run again tonight .This is a big priority in my life at the moment as I feel bad about myself & I don't want to feel uncomfortable again when I go away.
Cleaning this morning & then taking LOs out this afternoon on their ride ons/ bikes.

WelshKitty - congratulations. Enjoy every minute with your baby it really does go by so quickly.
Need to crack on with some housework today then get some paid work done this afternoon, no time for exercise today I don't think but I did cycle up a massive hill yesterday so that will do. I do need to walk the dog but we never really get a good pace because he needs to sniff or pee every 14 seconds apparently.
We don't celebrate Valentines day so there won't be a spend there, it is our wedding anniversary at the end of this month so we may have a takeaway but I'm not too fussed tbh. It is MIL birthday but that will just be a card, we told everyone last year we weren't buying presents anymore, in her case she wasn't happy as she is like a child with presents but she never actually seems pleased with anything, she has zero taste so this also saves me from receiving tacky presents from her.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Checking in counting today as NSD as well don't need anything.
2 NSD
Exercise did 9400 steps (29 flights of stairs in that) rather muddy woods, will increase on that as off work this afternoon.
1 frog dealt with Talk talk - don't ever go to them whatever cash is offered hassle and awful internet connection since I joined.
Afternoon off so few items to sort for charity shop and a walk planned.
Have a nice weekend folks.LBM 13039 1.1.13 Now £0 Finally Debt FreeMortgage free Oct 2019:)EFund/savings £25000 10/11/220 -
hi all-
hub spent less on his car than expected so budgets now 150 for the month 1050 in emergency fund. quite often hub has to buy things for work so no doubt that extra 50 will come in somewhere down the line.
he has volunteered to help at work tonight. he doesn't get paid but occasionally gets tips, sometimes this is nothing sometimes its 150 quid so if he gets anything I will buy my groceries with it tomorrow & get kids hair cut. Any extra will be saved
club card vouchers arrived today. planning to quadruple them up for something anyone who has any- remember this is your last chance to get 4x the value0 -
' It is MIL birthday but that will just be a card, we told everyone last year we weren't buying presents anymore, in her case she wasn't happy as she is like a child with presents but she never actually seems pleased with anything,.
I feel your pain, I have one just the same, but she insists on buying me clothes 3 sizes too small for birthdays and Xmas. It is most definitely not an accident, but the charity shop does well out of her.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Today is my first NSD 1/18 as I!!!8217;m working from home so I haven!!!8217;t ventured out. I!!!8217;ve clocked six hours so far, so taking a break and will log on again later this afternoon/evening to finish my hours. Might give the house a quick tidy before DH comes home.
Congratulations Welshkitty on your new arrival
I!!!8217;ve made my overpayment to Credit Card no.1. Only £45 balance now and that will be paid off in full using February!!!8217;s pay. I think I!!!8217;ll then start making overpayments on Credit Card no.3 as that one is in my name and use £25 overpayment budget I!!!8217;ve been using on Credit Card no.1. It!!!8217;s not a lot but it helps and Credit Card no.2 is the one with the biggest overpayment at the moment.
No exercise today though - will make sure we do something during the weekend though.February Grocery Budget: £190.75/£350.00
NST no. NSD 4/150 -
Always pay to debts or savings first, live on what is left. - car & 0% CCs on direct debit. 'Regular' spending CC cards always paid off in full by start of month. Once kitchen/ workmen fully paid for this month we will know what (if any!) we have left and that can go to OH's 0% CC. Any extra monies will also go there
First of February until the 28th, inclusive.
Organise your budgets before the start of the month and stick to them.
* Food - 3.72/450
* Diesel (me) - 0/65
* Toiletries - 0/10
* Clothing - 0/100 (DS1 desperately in need of new jeans)
* Social - 0/50
* Half term - 0/75
* Money in - 0/50
Reserve a small portion of your budget (cash or goods) for the food bank or charity of your choice. - ok. Monthly DD to WWT. Should be attending a charity coffee/ cake morning mid month.
Environment Be aware of your surroundings and use all your senses. Be alert to danger but also to beauty. - Gorgeous rainbow
Stock take your cupboards, fridge and freezer. Base your meal plan upon them and your shopping list on what is needed. Stick to your list. - desperately in need to top up supplies once kitchen is in!
Takeaways are forbidden (unless as part of family entertainment night/ birthday choice). Coffee shops, vending machines, works canteens etc are also banned (pastoral exceptions). may have family takeaway as social if budget unspent elsewhere
Always take your lunch to work and snacks and drinks for outings or appointments (may excuse one trip with children or allow ice creams etc if part of the experience). - have half term budget- will take lunches if applicable but something like ice creams may fall into budget here
Do something different. If nothing changes, nothing changes. We want to see small positive changes which become habits and then just part of who you are. Pick 2 or 3 things you want to change. Start with one small change and after five successful days, add another.
Valentine Who? after 30+ years together we don't really do Val now(although I may buy some of the flowers for myself afterwards if they have been reduced
Exercise 5 times a week please. It should be commensurate with your abilities and current state of health (be careful after flu/ viruses). Getting outside helps with mental health too. - 3 weeks into flu/ post flu chesty cough/ fatigue/ poor breathing. Not doing any cv exercise until much better.
NSDs are staying at 18 this month. that is still 10 days available for necessary shopping. There would be far fewer opportunities in the forest. Exceptions for medical care, petrol (should be within budget), bus fares, ys bargains and milk for greent.1/18 -
Throw it away. We should all be aware that there is no such place as 'away' and recycle or donate appropriately but we all have too much stuff and even if you are ill, getting the rubbish and recycling helps slow the descent into chaos. - looking to remove 150 items this month - whether sell/ donate/ recycle/ bin - recycled some magazines today 2/150
Use what you have. Fix something (for free if possible). we need to update our house to do list this month - some jobs are being done as we have workmen in for the kitchen so are having them do some other bits whilst here (more cost efficient) My main focus is a big clean and tidy- lots of dust spread everywhere from the works
Refuel properly. Feb is a month of re-charging for me
Elephants and Frogs. .Am sure I can find some frogs. An elephant I need to tackle is getting OH's co accounts for the year ready for the accountant
Started the big clean of the appliances which are v dusty in the kitchenDidn't get very far, as had to go to my mum's to do some washing. Also cleaned some old units as they are listed on faceb00k to hopefully sell
No spends
