Help with a default!!

Hi, im a new poster and looking for some advice..

i checked my credit report and found a default from a debt company.
Not much details. Last 4 numbers of account number, default date and amount. Anyway i contact debt company to find out about this and got a reply back thats totally confused me..

my credit report -
says 1 default with account ending in 1234 (for example) for £225 default date is 11/6/14

Debt company has said we have 2 accounts for you both with THREE

1 default with account ending 9876 for £30 default date 11/6/14
1 account with no default reported for account ending 1234 for £225.

What the heck is that all about? The one that they have defaulted is the completely wrong one? Can i do anything about that to have it removed??

The other Account they seem to have - isnt on my credit report AND ive only ever had 1 THREE account?? There cant possibly be 2 accounts??

Hope that makes some sort of sense??
