Help with a PPI claim for Marisota

My mom thinks she's owed PPI from Marisota and wants some help starting the claims process. I think initially she needs to send of a SAR right? Does anyone have, or have links to, a template letter? I can't seem to find one...
Thanks

I think initially she needs to send of a SAR right?
No. You only do that if the lender says you they have no records and you dont believe them.
Use the FOS complaints form from the PPI guide.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. Ok so does she need to contact Marisota initially to get confirmation from them that she's been paying PPI and/or go through their complaints process before complaining to the FOS?0

Yes, there is no point making a "complaint" about non-existent PPI.Ok so does she need to contact Marisota initially to get confirmation from them that she's been paying PPI
First ascertain whether there was a PPI policy. Do this by asking the Bank or by examining documentation she may have kept.
Then determine how the PPI (if it existed) was mis-sold.
Then write a complaint.0 -
I'm not sure she has much documentation left.
How should she go about asking the bank? Is there a particular department it needs to be addressed to & way it needs to be worded?0 -
