Barclays mortgage time scale

Hi guys, Email received from the broker saying that Barclays have received our documents and are being reviewed by the underwriters. Have sent the declaration off too. How long until we hear back to see if we have an offer or not? I'd ask my broker but they're closed now and i'm itching to know!

Hi, does anyone know if barclays does a final credit check? We’re first time buyers and have received our help to buy mortgage offer from them but ive recently been offered a new job and unsure whether this could have a negative impact if i was to start before exchange of contracts/completion if it was to come up on a final credit check.
