    Hi all!

    I’m joining the wait!

10/4 Mortgage Appointment in local branch
10/4 DIP approved - 57% LTV. underwriters want accounts (other half 50% director) and payslips etc for me. Upgraded account to Barclays premier by MA after looking at our income.
10/4 Desktop valuation completed and no need for survey (we want one so are going independent)
MA thinks we should hear by Saturday?

    So nervous!!

  • Hi! New member here! !!!128075; I have gone with Barclays for a FTB mortgage. Via a Broker, we did a DIP and it came back approved so we proceeded to a full application today... just wondering how soon after submitting the applications did you all hear back from Barclays? Panicking as I have put an offer on a house and got it for a bargain on the proviso of a quick sale as it’s a probate with no chain! Now fretting it’ll take too long! Anyone got rejected after a successful DIP? Thank you.
  • I signed my declaration and sent it back on 1st of May and only got a valuation date of the 05/06 last week.... it seems to be taking them a while unfortunately. I!!!8217;m feeling a bit anxious as my flat was reduced in price for a quick sale, I put my offer in at the beginning of April and am still waiting for Barclays to approve my mortgage!
  • Our broker did the
    application on 22/11/2019
Met broker Tuesday 26/11/2019 said valuation was satisfied and they asked for declaration and proof of deposit
    Sent off on 27/11/2019
And they say it’s 48 hours after that !

    Fingers crossed !

If somebody had the same experience please do reply !
  • Turnaround seemed quite quick for us -

19/11 - Full mortgage application submitted to Barclays
22/11 - Mortgage application approved subject to valuation
    25/11 - Valuation takes place
26/11 - Offer issued (didn’t receive in the post until 28/11)

    Good luck!

Both, I just applied through Barclays and got the offer within similar time frame as you. I am now waiting for Barclays to clarify why one of the conditions of the offer which is 'You do not have the right to transfer this loan to another lender' Do you have the same condition in your offer? Showed up in Section 9 'Flexible Features' of the offer letter.

It's a new standard wording and it's meaningless.

You can transfer the loan to another lender; provided the charge over the property is removed by a solicitor during the remortgage process. You just don't have a "right" as they put it.

  • Hi everyone,

Anyone currently going with Barclays and know what the timescales are like for January?

    06/01 - DIP with Broker
10/01 - Approval in principle with Barclays
    10/01 - Application submitted
10/01 - Credit check by Barclays showing on experian
10/01 - Additional information requested by Barclays
13/01 - Broker forwarded additional information to Barclays
  • Hello,

My application was submitted on the 05/12/2019, credit check appeared the following day.
Roughly a week later, I knew that I had been 'pre-approved' and was told that the survey would be instructed.
Survey was then instructed sometime during the week of 16th December but due to an issue caused by the developer and the Christmas break, the survey wasn't carried out until beginning of Jan.
I then received my mortgage offer on 8th January and completing this Friday (31st). So overall, the process was around 7 weeks, but would have been 5 weeks if the survey wasn't delayed and Christmas didn't land in the middle.

    Good luck:D
