Private Shared Ownership - Heylo - Your Home

Hello,
Just wondering if anyone has used Heylo / Your Home to purchase a property?
It's a private shared ownership scheme that seems to offer a good opportunity to get on the property ladder, buying a share of a non-new build home. You chose the home yourself, as long as it's of standard construction.
Any thoughts / advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Rowan

What's the benefit of being a private scheme over a housing association?

I would make sure you check reviews first.

    Hi Rowan
I am looking into Heylo too. We've had our initial application accepted but it just seems too good to be true! There are no other options really for us to be able to buy in my expensive home town. Did you go ahead with them?
    Any thoughts or insights appreciated!
    Thanks
    Naomi
  • Hi

We are also looking into this as you can buy any property as apoose to waiting for a shared ownership housing association one to come up,
The only thing is you need 10% of the property value which in our area is still quite a lot, and if I had 10% would be able to get a normal mortgage,
Interested to see how you get on though, it seems a good opportunity if you have the funds

Amazing how new posters dig out old threads!

    Smells like :spam: to me!
