Hi does anyone know which is the current most effective flea treatment for cats please? My friend treats her cat monthly with Effipro spot on active ingredient Fipronil, but her cat comes in from outside and she has fleas on her. Many years ago when my cats were young I used to buy frontline, the non prescription version and my house got infested with fleas and it didn’t work. Visited my vet who gave me stronghold, that worked a treat and the fleas were gone within the week. Problem was it cost a fortune for 3 cats. For the last 5 years I have been using advantage that I buy online. So much cheaper and works so well. Never had any sign of fleas in my house since using advantage.
