Switching Direct Debits

I have Santander 123 Account and also TSB Current A/c
I have around 12 DD's leaving 123 A/c servicing Regular Savers and Credit Cards mainly.
Ultimately I wish to have 2 or 3 current a/cs (plus the TSB a/c)
How can I switch perhaps 3 to 4 DD's to each new a/c?
Most new a/cs require you to avail of their switching service.
How would I go about switching DD's manually to new a/cs?
Thanks

This is relatively easy contact the business that you pay direct debits to and tell them you wish to change your direct debit instrction. If you switch as you are changing bank to a different bank using bank switching facilities they do the work for you0

Switching DDs manually has to be done via the organisations that are pulling them, so you need to contact each one individually and arrange for the bank details to be changed. Many companies will allow this to be done online but some will insist on doing so by phone or in writing....0

All I needed to do was set up account with new bank where full switching service was not insisted upon, and manually transfer direct debits. Then transfer out of Santander 123 with remaining DD's when reg saver matures. Simple really!0

I'm not aware of any banks insisting on you using the full switching service - but by not taking advantage of it you could potentially have discarded several hundred pounds of free money. Hopefully the new bank(s) weren't ones providing generous switching offers?"In the future, everyone will be rich for 15 minutes"0 -

Are you sure you're servicing several regular savers by Direct Debit?
If so, would you mind mentioning the providers?0
