18.10.07 what small dfw thing will you do or have you done today?

OK! You know the format!!

Let us know what small dfw thing you will do or have done today.
Remember that it is not just the bigger changes that help us to become debt free - the smaller things are forming good habits that will help us get there quicker, and will help us stay debt free when we get there!

So today I will:
  • not come home in between clients - will buy a newspaper and sit somewhere and read it with a flask of coffee (no internet access where I am going so not able to use laptop!) thereby saving petrol and stress miles.
  • send everyone to work/school with packed lunches
  • make a storecupboard dinner - something with rice :D
  • try for a NSD
  • do piggy/quidco clicks and comps etc
  • check for mystery shops in my area - I am missing out on too many
I hope you all have a good day xx

  • For me today, lunch in staff canteen (subsidised and paid for via salary sacrifice which has cost incentives), post an Amazon parcel and that's it. Oh, and free cinema preview tonight - Rendition with the gorgeous Jake Gyllenhaal. Brilliant!
Almost debt-free, but certainly even with the Banks!

Ooh I'm so glad to see the thread back!

    Today I've:

Put in a claim for work expenses from yesterday already

Did have lunch here as I needed to get out the building which I don't seem to do when I bring something in but OH's and mine came to £4 in total so not bad!

I'm trying to work my way through emails in my clicks/surveys account too to try and boost totals there.

and I'm sure they'll be some things later - might start looking at Novembers money.

Oh good, this thread is just SUCH a good habit, I think actually posting on it could be considered a small but useful DFW thing to do each day....:o or is that just me? It does concentrate the mind, however too late today to stop me spending on a chocolate bar that I didn't need.

    Today:
-I will post out the last of a batch of e-bay items. (another batch on already, where is the smiley with a halo that I need now?)
    -brought in sandwiches to work
-Bolognaise in the slow-cooker for tonight, and the freezer
-will cook up apples before they all go off.
-will go to the gym tonight for which a (finished) mystery shop has paid. :D
    -done piggy/Quidco clicks.

Today I used my advantage card when buying my magazine and concealer, earning 20 points.
Also earned 16 clubcard points on my petrol.
No big breakthroughs but every little helps as mr T keeps telling us.
About to check up on pigsback, surveys etc to see what I can boost.
Picked up a Boots gift guide to work out how I can best take advantage of 3for2 on xmas pressies thus saving money and earning lots of points.

    - drawn up a menu plan and shopping list
    - not gone food shopping today though as I'm not feeling 100% and that will let weak will in!
    - joined Quidco
    - baked some muffins for brekkie and a cake, using up some store cupboard ingrediants and stopping the temptation to go buy chocolate when the sweet tooth strikes!

I have used very little electricity today, done no washing, no ironing, no hoovering etc etc. used no water with the exception of having a shower this morning, why? cause I have spent most of my day reading MSE.

Very little spend day for me today:D

  • I posted off a phone I'd sold through envirofone. However all of my detrimental moneysaving the last couple of weeks probably isn't even offset yet.
