How long do declined applications affect rating?

If someone applied for a load of cards before being accepted, how long does it affect the credit score for?

The credit score is fictional, so that question has no answer.
Different lenders will take a different view for different products. Try not to make too many applications at once -take a break between them, perhaps 2-3 months.
Declines don't show, searches do.0
