Identity Theft Cover

  • As a victim of identity fraud, caused by a crook simply copying the details off my wife's version of our credit card adding our address from a "guarantee" slip and then going for an on-line spending spree. All I can say is IT IS THE BANK'S LOSS AND IT WILL BE PASSED BACK TO THE STUPID TRADERS WHO DELIVERED THE GOODS OR SERVICES TO AN ADDRESS THAT IS NOT YOURS.

If you are all a dither, like the woman in the newspaper article, OK buy expensive insurance; if you can stand on your own two feet "why have a dog because when it comes to identity fraud you are going to have to do a fair bit of barking yourself anyway".

A credit card is a lot safer than a debit card, banks are far more worried about risking their money than they are about risking yours.
