I'm worried my supported living manager is going to trigger me by mentioning certain things (I have a schizophrenia spectrum diagnosis and Mild LD) The thing is in July 2016 I severely hurt myself cutting a microchip out my body and was rushed to hospital, it was so bad air ambulance paramedics came. I don't really want my supported living manager to delvugle that information to them because it makes me feel bad. I worried about what she says. Do you think its possible to wait outside while she talks to the assessment person. I'm worried about my entailment to ESA.

Surely your support living manager WANTS you to get ESA and wouldn't say or do anything to endanger that?Overactively underachieving for almost half a century0

It sounds as if your Supported Living Manager has your best interests at heart...you should actually be grateful that they are doing their job!
Trust me...I know how difficult it is to live with mental health issues...and I know the compulsion to hide them away and try to conform to what others deem 'normal'...no matter the cost to your health!...Been there, done that, got the T-Shirt!
Your Supported Living Manager knows the criteria for ESA...and I have little doubt that they will make a very good and fair report to the assessor. ...You state you do not want to be in the room when they give their report...think this over carefully - would you be happy NOT knowing what was said, or would your mind start going onto overdrive with worry?
You had a serious incident in July 2016, which impacted your physical and mental health...the assessors NEED to know this, it is important to your claim...and is actually MORE likely to gain you an award.
Try to talk to your Support Living Manager about your worries...they really do want to help you.0 -

The OP is worried that hearing the supported living manager talking about how bad his health is will trigger a deterioration in his health. He doesn't want to sit and listen to all the details of his bad incident, which is perfectly understandable.
Unfortunately, that's how the system works. The person doing the assessment has to hear how bad your illness is so that they can do their job properly. I don't know whether you can sit outside, but I don't think you can.
I think you need to work on ways of making sure it doesn't trigger another really bad episode. Can you schedule an appointment with your psychologist for after the assessment? And make sure that the staff know that you'll be especially vulnerable for a few days afterwards so they can keep a closer eye on you.
I know it's horrible having to focus on your illness and the things you can't do.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -

Exactly.
I wonder if the supported living manager could put this information in a letter (as additional evidence from a professional involved in the OP's care) - citing this as an example of why Regulation 29 / 35 might apply.
S/he could then refer to it obliquely during the interview - without going into to much detail in front of the OP.Alice Holt Forest situated some 4 miles south of Farnham forms the most northerly gateway to the South Downs National Park.0 -
Someone can go with you for a Face 2 face interview but AFAIK only to remind you if you miss something out or forget something, the assessor will not in other circumstance talk to them directly.0

If i'm wrong and your supported living manager attends with you instead then she will only be able to promt you. You will have to answer all the questions.0 -
I got a letter my care cordernater wrote stating me thinking I haven’t got anything wrong with me which I’m going to tell the assesser because I think I haven’t, what will happen if I tell them that? Will they go to my manager and ask questions? My cate corset Ayers report is quilt detailed.
Will they accept the report and read it when I attended the appointment?0 -
Hopefully they wouldn't believe you if you go and tell them there's nothing wrong with you. It's possible though that they'll believe you and stop your money.
It's better to send them evidence in advance, and also give them a copy at the face to face appointment.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0
