This month, the private parking industry's little game and 'outrageous scam' (Hansard), has been finally been condemned unanimously by MPs in Parliament in the private parking Code of Practice Bill debate, where (guess who?) PARKINGEYE were named and shamed along with their Trade Body, the BPA. Watch it, read it, get it.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yes have read the reports and will contact the MP who sparked the debate. In fairness the lady at Barnet Hospital has been very helpful and a number of friends who have also had issues have had them resolved by her. It's Parking Eye that's the problem and the Hospital Chief Executive needs to acknowledge this. Just receiving a ticket in itself is a very unsettling experience. This should not be happening at a Hospital of all places.0

The NHS parking principles are quite clear, the NHS trust is fully responsible fur the actions of the parking company.
The antics of the parking industry, including double dips are well known, the problem is not parking eye, it's the Hospital management who think parking eye are an acceptable company to have representing themFrom the Plain Language Commission:
"The BPA has surely become one of the most socially dangerous organisations in the UK"0 -
Doing as you suggest will no doubt stop the matter in its tracks but is tantamount to telling an armed robber that you will not call the police if he goes away. They need to be exposed
My views on PoPLA entirely, First they came for the socialists ...You never know how far you can go until you go too far.0 -
I have just received a ticket today for parking in the MRI space, I displayed a blue badge, no disabled spaces were free. My daughter was having an MRI, I did not put a paid ticket on my car as I thought my blue badge was sufficient, are these grounds to appeal? Should I try the pals at hospital 1st? We live in Hertfordshire so don't use this hospital.0

wellcome to the forum ...
please take the time to read the newbies thread, and then start your own thread ... so that important information is not mixed up. Threads like this can inform ( re complain to PALS) ... but best to get personal advice
