It's from China, has no reviews and the seller has low feedback - none of which is for a bike, it's all handbags and cheap jewellery.

I imagine they'll sell lots, send none, and hope most buyers will think 'oh well, it's only twenty quid' and move on.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.

There's definitely something odd going on, but a buyer can't lose as if item doesn't arrive then the PayPal guarantee kicks in and they get a full refund.

As the sale is on eBay uk if it arrives not as described then a simple SNAD claim would require seller to pay for the return. The real risk is paying import tax and duty on somethig that turns out to be completely rubbish like a plastic handbag instead of a bike.

I suspect it is a hijacked account and that hijacker is hoping to get cleared funds and walk away- but I've never seen the scam done for such a low amount, which is puzzling.

There's a listing for exactly the same item with pretty much the same wording for £1350.
If your mate does get the bike for £20, he's got a bargain. :rotfl:
But I wouldn't be holding my breath for it to arrive.

It may have been genuine, bought my electric bike off ebay for £20.

And yes its a full size bike suitable for an adult, although the pictures did make it look like it was dragged from a canal and didnt help himself by stating he didnt know if the battery was in there, the underseat storage was locked. The seat looked mangled but was infact the original plastic protector brittle with age and peeling/crumbling. Perfect seat underneath.

Took a punt and stripped it down and yes the batteries were in there. Old style SLA's still charged up OK. :)

There was me thinking all ebay bargains were long gone :)

    But your bike sounds second-hand.
This looked like a brand new item, the photo was exactly the same as a bike listed for over £1K.

    The listing has been removed.
I wonder what the OP's friend will get for his £19.98?
