estate agent not doing a lot

I signed with an estate agent over a week ago to market by property but they have not done anything. I have been told it will be on rightmove and viewings will be arranged but absolutely nothing has happened. I've emailed them and was told a staff member was sick and it would be done but another few days and nothing.
As I've signed a sole selling agreement, is there anything I can do as they don't appear to be that interested.

Where and when did you sign it? At their offices or at home?Check the contract you signed, you may be entitled to cancel within a 14 day cooling off period.
14 days cooling off under the distant selling Regs

But if they've genuinely had staff issues, a week is not that long.0 -
I signed it and scanned it by email. I also signed a box which allowed the agent to commence work immediately instead of waiting 14 days (before starting work). Does this mean I can no longer cancel?0

I my be wrongg, but I believe you can still cancel but can be charged for any costs the agent has incurred. Have they been round and measured up? Taken photos?I signed it and scanned it by email. I think if you've not arranged the service in person at all and signed contract over email you can cancel and you can only get charged a reasonable small admin fee.0 -
A week isn't that long, especially as a staff member has been off sick.
Better for them to get your ad on the internet with full details than do what most round here do: 'coming soon' and their logo, or really bodged descriptions.0
