Won PIP tribunal puzzled by sentence on decision

My husband won his Pip tribunal appeal yesterday.
Went from 6 points for care and non for mobility to enhanced for both. Took an hour and the Dr was very hard going.
On the decision notice it says it would be inappropriate to fix a term, we were not sure what this means and hope the nice people on MSE can help?

I assume it is because they need further research is needed or the tribunal people are handing the award length to the DWP. However if you have a lifelong disability then I have heard that the maximum time PIP is awarded is 10 years before review and could then be awarded another 10 years after. However 1 of the charities I volunteer at have said they are changing maximum award to 5 years or trying to, but I have not heard anything official on that, so that may be something to do with it. MIne was awarded in december and is not up for review until October 20270

In effect it's the Tribunal telling the DWP that your husband's condition is unlikely to improve, so a fixed term review is not appropriate. Hopefully the DWP will now put any future review towards the bottom of their list.
It is, however, just a recommendation, the DWP are not bound by it.

It's not because "further research is needed"!Alice Holt Forest situated some 4 miles south of Farnham forms the most northerly gateway to the South Downs National Park.0
