Hi All,
I know there are some really good legal beagle's out there so would really appricate some help on this..
In 2014 like most I took advantage of offers to get some of the PPI I paid out returned and recruited one of the well know reclaim companies to do the foot work, have to say they did a great job and had quite alot of ppi I paid on a loan returned, however I also claimed for a Barclaycard they were unable to get renumeration from.
Roll on to around two months ago I received a letter from Barclaycard stating that new legislation had allowed consumers to reclaim previously undisclosed commission and that I could do this directly with Barclays and of cours I did this and had around £500 returned to my bank account.
Two week's after this payment I received a letter from said Fast PPI claims company stating I could claim this commission back, I phone them and explained I had already had this amount returned however I would like to attempt to get a the original ppi on the Barclacard reclaimed (that had been previously denied) and she told me to complete the form and return it to them (I know I signed my own fate when i did this.
Onto this week, I have sudenly received an invoice for £216.10 from (Im now calling them Eviltrack PPI) stating because they initiated a claim back in 2014 they are entitiled to the commission on the refund.
Am I being scammed ? thank's in advance for any help !

Depends what you signed.
It's usually not a scam, more just people not reading what they signed up to. Claims companies have the advantage of knowing that their customers tend not to check contracts too closely.0 -

If I gave a 5 year old the job of reclaiming PPI, they could easily stick the stamp on the envelope and do a great job too.Onto this week, I have sudenly received an invoice for £216.10 from (Im now calling them Eviltrack PPI) stating because they initiated a claim back in 2014 they are entitiled to the commission on the refund.
If your contract didnt end then you need to pay them. However, in most cases, the contract is deemed to end when the complaint is rejected and the CMC says nothing after that to extend it.
Someone complaining today and getting rejected would go straight to plevin. So a CMC would correctly charge against that.
Someone complaining and being rejected 4 years ago (before Plevin) would almost certainly see their contract over after that point unless the CMC says you should hold on because there is something coming that could result in more money. If they did that then it keeps the contract open. In most cases, historical rejections ended the contract you had.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
