Bewdley Sheds

Complete newbie here. I’ve noticed that there is a closed thread from 2015 regarding the quality of service from Bewdley Sheds. They have a website full of glowing reports from previous customers. It certainly wasn’t my experience. To start with they wanted a 50% deposit followed by payment in full before they would start erecting my £8k summerhouse. They then demanded an extra £1.5k because I hadn’t got the surface area sufficiently firm or level. They tell me this cost them three days unproductive work. Having refused to pay the additional £1.5k until the work was completed to a satisfactory standard, they left, leaving me with an unfinished summerhouse.
The work they have done is of a very poor standard. Doors and windows badly fitted. The Onduvilla roof leaks and about 20% of the roof panels have been fitted upside down.
I’ve tried sending them a registerec letter taken from the CAB website. It was returned as 'address inaccessible'.
Verbal complaints over the phone results in a diatribe of aggrsssive legal threats.
So, I think I’ve had my fingers badly burnt by Bewdley Sheds. I just hope this post will stop others doing the same.

Why did you use them ?0 -
I was caught out too. There were no independent reviews when I ordered mine. It appeared that I was getting a "deal" which I put down to them being in the Midlands where wooden buildings competition is fierce. I have a product that is "finished" but I have had my fingers burned. I am in contact with the company and was about to issue them with court papers but we have reached an agreement. Should it not be honoured then I will revert to civil recovery. However it has been a major PITA, certainly not worth the money I "saved".
Just so other people are aware Bewdley Sheds are also on eBay (with questionable reviews) and their own website also has moderated reviews- in other words if they don't like it it is not posted.
If things don't work out I will post my entire dealings for others to be aware of. In the meantime I will not say don't buy from them, but I would STRONGLY recommend that you view their products first before parting with any money.
Keep records of all conversations as I have not had any paperwork at ALL supplied or generated by them. Lastly, if you have had a poor experience I see that Trustpilot now has a review page for them. I would encourage all of their customers to leave an honest review of their findings.0
