What Does Dental Insurance Cover?

Hi ,

Does anyone know what this cover.

If you have bad teeth to begin with and they nee regular attention wil Tesco dental insurance pay up to maintain them?

From what I understand the answer is yes but I am concerned that I pay for the treatment ufront and then have to claim this back from the insurer which will cause problems if they decide that the claim is not covered...

Put simply what can be covered ? If you enter into an insurance policy with bad teeth which you know will need to be claimed agianst is this fraud?

I don't know about tesco but I'm with HSA and pay £17 a month (flat rate I think regardless of your age/state of your teeth) and that covers me for 100% of my maintenance (so a check up 6 monthly, and a scale n polish 6 monthly) and then of any work needed thereafter they pay 80% and me 20%.

This is the best plan that I could find. Hope that helps

PS. Something is only fraud if you have actively lied about something, you're not a dental professional so you can;t be expected to know for a fact that work would be needed
