Early Payment Warning - Policy Expert Home Insurance

Just a bit of a warning for people who have Policy Expert Home Insurance and I am not sure whether other insurers are now doing this.
When I received my renewal notice, I like others, did the usual and looked around for other quotations before committing to staying with Policy Expert or going some where else. In the past, I have always carried out this activity about a week before the insurance expires. However, this time around, I didn't, and as it happens, the renewal quote was cheaper than anyone else, so just decided to let it auto-renew when it became due on 30th January. So imagine my surprise when the full amount was taken from my bank on 27th January. Fortunately, I had funds to cover it, and, more importantly, I hadn't gone with another insurer.
The renewal letter did advise me at the bottom of the letter, and I quote, "We will automatically renew your policy**, by taking payment in the week before your policy expires from card number ...........
** Please note that if we are unable to collect payment from you, we will not be able to renew your policy"

This should probably be moved to the 'praise' board. Insurer does as promised...0
