Removing silicone sealant

I've used Forever White which seems to live up to its name as well as being free flowing. Requires an applicator gun which is cheaper than the sealant. Got it from either Toolstation or Screwfix.0

I've thought of lots of ways of saying this, but none that can't be taken the wrong way. So here goes - make of it what you will.
A finger works best if you wear rubber gloves.
There, I've said it.No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...0 -
How about using an old store card or lollypop stick?I used a stanley knife and a wall-paper scraper to scrape the bulk of it away and then some silicone eater chemical to remove the last traces - but I was trying to remove it completely, so I could apply some new silicone to reseal it.
When you come to reseal it, invest a couple of quid in a sealant tool - they make it an absolute doddle to get a nice finish, miles better than using your finger:
