I ordered this all in one printer, scanner, copier from argos:
http://www.argos.co.uk/product/6558769
It was at a price I can afford with lots of good reviews. I asked my father to pick it up for me on his way home from work. What I got was this printer:
http://www.argos.co.uk/product/7499236
I checked the item number on the side of the box. It the number for the cheaper printer. Argos have put the wrong number to the wrong printer. Do I inform Argos of their mistake?
The two printers are both HP Envy.

Its up to you,on one hand you have scored for a £20 upgrade free of charge but if anything goes wrong in warranty they could turn round and say that is not the printer you purchased from us.0 -
While it is not the item you requested if it was me I would keep quiet, as the unopened box was miscoded I cannot see Argos trying to trace back everyone that was mis sold.
I know many will say you should inform them of the mistake but I would find it very suprising if it will ever come to light.
Enjoy your windfall :0)0 -
Only issue is warranty. If you put your general location in your Profile, somebody here may be able to come and help you.0

It will cost Argos more that £20 in effort to sort the problem out, do them a favour and keep the printer.0
-
Keep the printer, as printers prices are always changing and probably Argos are even aware of what printer they sold you and maybe have agreement with HP to do this.
Remember printers are cheap, its all in the ink pricewise, where the companies make their money.0 -
Another vote to keep it. Stick the box in the loft so you've got it if you ever need to take it back.0

Argos do quite often substitute with a better spec item. It looks like the 4527 is discontinued and the 5030 seems to be the base spec model now, HP are selling it at just over what you paid.0

Thanks everyone! I think I will keep it. I haven't taken it out of the box yet as I'd yet to make a decision. Hoping the scanner is great along with the printing.0
