Good luck. It would be interesting to see whether the council have the resources to look into the shed.

How much is the plot worth and how much of an incentive would cover adjusting the boundary and reshaping the shed?

Set fire to the shed and burn it down. Claim it wasn’t you. Problem solved.

Don't really see how it is in any way the council's responsibility to deal with asbestos on private property. If you want the shed owner to remove it and he is unwilling (specialist asbestos removal ain't cheap) I imagine you would have to either put up with it or take him to court.

It also puts the khybosh on Riggyman's suggestion as the stuff is used as a fire-retardant.

that private property is mine! smod. he built his asbestos fire resistant shed on my land, well part of it.

I suggested he just chop off the bit that's over the boundary.... I was made to feel foolish.

You do not want him chopping through asbestos, especially not on your land, diane***. I really hope you get somewhere with this selfish idiot and he is made to remove the asbestos and the bloody shed. Best of luck.
