Joint PPI policy. Do I claim twice?

Hi there,
I've finally decided to have a go at reclaiming PPI on my mortgage after years of hanging up on all those PPI phone calls etc. Anyway, my PPI is a joint policy that my husband and I took out when we bought our first home. Its with Santander (originally Alliance and Leicester) and we've been paying it since then until shortly before christmas when I cancelled it. Anyway what I'd like to know is, do my husband and I need to do separate claims or do you just do one claim?
