I am so sorry to hear that. What an !!!! he is.

I know you have a lot on your plate. But do head over to the debt free boards. Nicest bunch of people you could meet. They will help you sort stuff out. And who you need to talk to help give you some breathing space.

Just an update:

Thank you for all the advice.

I appealed and my single person discount was re added to my council tax.

I also appealed the over payment as this was incorrect and appealed to have my family premium re added to my housing benefit claim.

My over payment has now been reduced from £1800 to £907
and my family premium has now been re added to my housing benefit claim.

As it turned out they underpaid my council tax benefit so I don't have to pay this month and over the year it has been reduced from £98.00 to £86.
I have also had a payment from housing benefit due to under payments of £336.00 for last year and they have paid me £136.00 and used £200 to reduce my over payment.

My advice is if it looks incorrect appeal it.
