car insurance drives me mad

im currently insured with kwik-fit and my insurance is due for renewal at the end of the month, so i got a quote from them ..... £405 :eek: .... so done the usual confused, moneysupermarket etc.... got cheaper quotes (of course) .......... then i got a quote off kwik fit website for .......... £269 !!!!! !!!!!! is going on lol , how come theres such a difference , can anyone enlighten me ????

Make sure you compare on more than price alone! I've done the same searching and some quotes, when looked at closely, are cheaper only because they "assume" a huge excess. One was a £350 pound excess and was only £50 cheaper than my renewal with a £150 excess.
Oh, and what's with this "mustn't grumble" crap? If people like us didn't grumble there wouldn't be good things like bank charge recaiming, etc. Hey, if you don't like what you're offered in life . . . GRUMBLE!
