Am using a Samsung Galaxy S8+ with latest software installed.
Is there anyway to...
1) Switch Bixby off?
It never asked me if I wanted it yet downloads stuff without me having any say in the matter. I don't want it.
2) It keeps popping up notifications "click here to use your Samsung account"
I don't want to use ANY Samsung accounts. How can I switch it off???
I genuinely think this will be my last Samsung phone
Thanks

its not just samsung but all the major manufactures are forcing their apps on to us and they are not easy to uninstall"The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson0

Unfortunately the bixby button is apart of the firmware of the phone, so unless you are willing to root your phone (this will void the warranty) you're stuck with a pointless bixby button.
That being said, you can download various apps that stop bixby such as 'BK disabler'. However, you're going to be left with a button on your phone that doesn't do anything.0 -

You need to catch up. You can turn Bixby button on or off natively.
OP Don't download anything...
Make sure phone has all updates.
From the Bixby screen, tap the Settings icon.

I would have written that about any mobile phone as you can find something that isn't perfect on all of them.
Pixels have had display and speaker problems for instance. As with many of these reported problems not all appear on all phones.
That said, it's a mighty phone. I wouldn't swap my S8+ for one though. I had the opportunity, but, declined as there was nothing I did perfectly with my S8+ that the Pixel XL did better. The Pixel XL Camera may have the edge slightly, but nothing I, personally, could notice.
I'm skipping the S9, but, roll on the S10.....:DDrinking Rum before 10am makes you

what swung it for me was the 399 price tag for the pixel xl. 500 is my current max spend on any phone and i still think that is too much but it is a crazy market for branded phones"The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson0

True, but, I got my S8+ at a nice discount, so wasn't too bad.
